The method to go viral on TikTok is quite simple,
And I'll share it with you in this blogpost. This information is worth hundreds of thousands of dollars, so pay attention.
It all boils down to this:
It's massively important that you choose a well-thought of niche. The best strategy on tiktok is to be an expert in your field. For example, I've made Finance and Entrepreneurship videos in The Netherlands (Tiktok.com/@meeswijnants). This has enabled me to cooperate with big companies like Trade Republic, Scalable Capital and Businessmine and to net €100.000+ in the past 12 months. People see you as the expert in your field, and will naturally follow you and convert into paying customers.
There is no subject which cannot be a niche on TikTok. You can literally choose anything.
Let's say you're into gardening. Like cutting grass and trees. That is absolutely perfect for TikTok. The more niche you are, the better. You can make content about different types of trees, the best ways and tools to cut grass or give people information on how to properly nourish their plants at home. People will see you as the authority in your field. THE go-to-guy or girl when it comes to gardening. And its influence isn't limited to the online space. If you have a physical business, this will massively increase your revenue and will bring more and more people to you. Because you are THAT guy, you are the gardening guy who knows everything.
You must aim to become the go-to guy or girl in your niche. That has massive value, because now your words mean something. When you say that people should buy a certain scissor to cut their grass from a certain company, people will do just that. And that brings power and value to the marketplace, for which you will be rewarded (if used righteously).
So step 1: Become THE GO-TO GUY OR GIRL IN YOUR NICHE.
Next up, we're gonna look at what has gone viral before. Your next video should for 90% be based upon one of those viral videos.
Below you can see the exact steps on how to do research:
Like this:
Look for the most viral videos, and:
Check out the most viral videos, and copy them for 90%. Use the same hook, the same text, same lighting, same speed, same camera angles, same everything.
Add your own sauce, your own product or a funny joke/call to action. That's it, the rest is all based on the video that has gone viral previously. 90% is copied, 10% is yours and improved.
But isn't this copying?
Yes it is, so what? You don't have to reinvent the wheel. The biggest mistake people make when it comes to creating content and entrepreneurship in general is that people think they have to come up with a unique idea.
You couldn't be further from the truth. Mark Zuckerberg didn't invent the first social-media network, and Steve Jobs didn't invent the first smartphone. They improved an already existing product, that's all. The same goes for Henry Ford, Thomas Edison and Alexander Graham Bell.
All you have to do is take something that's already proven to be succesful, and then improve it. That is where you add value.
So you have to research previous viral videos and recreate + improve them. You have to sit there and think "How can I improve this video?". "How can I make this video go even more viral?". An easy way of improving a video is adding in a call to action for people to follow you, or to buy a product.
It's not even necessary to add value, actually. Let's say you're from Germany and you see an American video that has gone very viral in the States. Simply bring it to your home market, Germany, post it in German and adjust the video with German subjects. That's it.
That has been my formula for succes so far, let's look at a little case study to prove it to you:
As I told you before, I make videos in the investing/entrepreneurship niche in my native language Dutch. However I've recently started to expand my operations to Germany and France.
All I've done is literally translate my videos to German and French. Let's look at the results:
France🇫🇷:
Germany & Austria🇩🇪🇦🇹:
As you can see, they've gone pretty viral
In France, we've uploaded 9 videos so far and have gotten 78.200 followers, insane. Even the views are insane too: 833K, 1.3M, 1.2M, 113K, 1.8M & 1.5M. Crazy! All it took to get those numbers was to literally word-for-word translate my dutch videos. Before you know it, you have 78 thousand followers and you're THE authority in your niche.
Now you can monetize it using Follago and become a full-time content creator.
Please don't forget that the numbers we've accomplished above are not normal. This was an exception, and will most likely not happen in your journey. It will take much more time, but it's an indication of what's possible with this strategy and the proof that I know what I'm talking about. And if you think you can grow faster, I hereby challenge you to beat me. And I hope you do!
So step 4: repeat.
Once you've found something that works, double down on it. Make 20 videos exactly like it, or even 100 if they continue to do good.
The same goes the other way around: if your videos don't go viral, try something else. Just do something, it doesn't matter what. But whatever you do: don't quit. Keep trying out new forms of content or keep uploading your type of content if you think that the video is good, but doesn't get the recognition it deserves. Additionally, these things aren't mutually exclusive. You can perfectly keep uploading your current type of content while also experimenting with new types.
To conclude this post: absolutely spam the internet with your content. You can upload 3 to 10 times a day and it's completely fine. Just make sure people who are interested in your niche see your face as often as possible. Even if only one person sees it, thats another person who knows you.
Don't quit, just keep going. It's not over until you win.
